The larger internal diameter of the tubing and the Catheter allows for larger pieces of emesis to pass.

The SSCOR SDC Catheter Kits are connected to flexible suction tubing that has a 9/32" I.D. for maximum fluid flow. The lack of a thumb port makes suction immediately available when the catheter is connected to the suction source. By removing the vacuum control, (thumb port) the caregiver does not need to locate and keep their thumb correctly positioned over the thumb port to clear a patient’s airway.

Instrumental in the SALAD Technique (Suction Assisted Laryngoscopy and Airway Decontamination).
