NOTE:
Eventually,
even the best cared for battery loses capacity. To learn what
to expect from a well cared for battery, read A
Reminder from Max Capacity.
While
plugged into AC power, the internal battery maintenance control
system of the new-DUET will:
|
Bring
the battery to full charge, illuminating the green light
on the control panel of the unit. |
|
Drop
back to "float" when the battery reaches full
charge, eliminating damage or destruction of the battery
caused by overcharging. |
| |
Monitor
the battery, keeping it fully charged until the unit is
used. |
The
green light signals that the new-DUET
can run for a full 45 minute (+/- 10%) period on battery
power
at full battery capacity.
When
the battery has been depleted the new-DUET automatically
shuts off. This prevents deep discharge and damage to the
battery.
Plug the unit in and leave it plugged in. Periodically, check
the "battery status" light to make sure the unit
is fully charged. When needed, operate the new-DUET
on AC power or disconnect for battery powered use. In addition
to these important features, the new-DUET :
|
Complies
with UL Standard 60601-1 |
|
Can
be adapted to fit any standard disposable hospital canister. |
|
Delivers
a powerful 30+ lpm clinical airflow and variable negative pressure
between -50 and -525 mmHg+. |
